post-punk, synth pop

super sing-along-able jams, moody gothic vocals and sassy melodies

recommended songs: she’s my guy, in all severity, self control, sanctified, the entirety of their album psychogoria is excellent

Deceits

brand new post punk trio, danceable and up-tempo with emotional lyrics

if you love The Cure, you will adore these guys

they only have four songs out right now - but they are all awesome!

Vision Video

if you’re in the goth community online, especially tik tok, you have definitely heard of vision video. i cannot recommend them enough.

Dusty (Goth Dad) has an incredible soaring voice, thought provoking lyrics, super sing-along-able

recommended songs: in my side, cruelty commodity, promises

Harsh Symmetry

harsh symmetry’s debut album Display Model was released earlier this year, every song is incredible

dark wave with lots of reverb and bass synth

recommend songs: like an opiate, pugilist, severance

Death of Lovers

post punk with ghostly vocals, synths, guitar, and the occasional saxophone, backed up by that classic goth repetitive drum beat

i love their album The Acrobat - specifically perfect history and the title track

Lebanon Hanover

if you don’t listen to lebanon hanover yet, you’re missing out.

depressing and moody dark wave perfect for crying and dancing simultaneously - emotional lyrics and absolutely gorgeous vocals

recommend: album - let them be alien, songs - sadness is rebellion, i���m a reject, northern lights

if you liked male tears you’ll love this

heavy synth usage and upbeat tempo, perfect for dancing at the club - or alone in your room of course

yet again, if you’re not listening you’re missing out on some great darkwave ebm synth pop tunes.

the palest grey’s debut album Always Haunted is a callback to the original, traditional gothic sound.

if you like christian death, this is for you.

in my verse godhood, and how it physically shapes/alters you, depends a lot on your perception of the self! this goes for everything but especially the eldrich forms

okay so they are translucent in many places bc they are unsure of/in their godhood! not in their capabilities but in having it in the first place. in time they will learns and it will melt away to bone

they ARE sure in Narinder's godhood tho, so the traits that they share are very solid (example being the hands and heart. narilamb sharing heart my beloved concept)

okay wings! bc we have them in game obviously, but also bc they are very big on protection and it manifested like that

the three eyes are a staple of the red crown specifically, but the rest are born from their need to witness it all. Lambert missed the culling of their kin bc they were born at the end of it and now they wish to see it all

sword... bc uuuuuuu i like it! and critters in their wool bc i think its funny

it doesn't show much here but their mouth opens like a snake!

and lastly, Nyx (my alternative version of the lamb) has a very different form

you can start the ritual already wearing your veil, holding the material you veil with, or do the ritual while tying it on.

when using this ritual, I follow the belief that: fire is the element of the south and rules the physical air is the element of the east and rules the mental earth is the element of the north and rules the spiritual water is the element of the west and rules the emotional

facing one of the cardinal directions (I start with south) recite the following: "I call upon the element of [element] in the [direction] to protect me from [type of protection] harm."

this would look like: "I call upon the element of fire in the south to protect me from physical harm."

then set your intention for how you want it to protect you, for example: "protect me from illness and dangerous situations."

then turn to face a new direction and repeat. the direction you choose to turn can also correspond with whether you want to attract (clockwise) or banish (counterclockwise.)

once you are done calling upon protection from all four elements, you can finish with "so mote it be," "blessed be," or whatever other prayer or mantra you want to use.

this is the ritual I use every day and obviously will not work for everyone! protection is the main purpose of my veiling, if you veil for modesty, devotion, or any other reason(s), this might not fit for you. feel free to modify this ritual however you'd like to make it work for you, and let me know if you do, I'd be very curious to hear!

Hearing in ch 15 of Palmarosa Raphael saying 'Hopefully you won't even meet my father'. Right away I thought how has your past run of luck been lately? With today's excerpt, it's continuing exactly the same way. He keeps rolling ones.

Raphael's definitely the one rolling 1s at the moment.

Astarion's doing okay. I'd say he's rolling low-to-mid at the moment. After all, if he'd rolled a 1 with Verillius he'd be dead. Heck if he'd rolled beneath a 10 he probably would have been tortured and sexually assaulted. And if he rolled a 1 with that ritual Raphael did, he'd be dead. (He probably rolled like a 7 with that ritual. Enough to survive, but not without significant 'I need your best potion please' damage).

So far he's still alive, and they're definitely playing a few 'Instant Death / You Have Died' scenarios right now!

But Raphael's not doing so hot, honestly. I think he's on a 1-6 streak.
